13 Remedies Terri Uses and Muscle Tests For Muscle Tests
Using Touch for Health techniques has enabled me to take charge of my health. I rarely get sick but when I do, I muscle test to see what my body needs. I test for things like foods, supplements, oils, medicines, remedies, techniques, etc. Below, I have listed some remedies I use when fighting a bug. This is a collection from several different sources, not necessarily Touch for Health.
- At the first sign of an infection, I often perform Thymus Thumps. To thump my thymus, I pound on my upper chest right below my collarbone, which is where the thymus gland is located. I vigorously tap the area with my fist about 10 times, at least 3x a day. Some of the products I use when I begin to feel unwell.
- I use essential oils, or On Guard from the doTerra Company. I apply a couple of drops on my throat area and thymus gland 3x a day. These oils contain clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus, rosemary, and wild orange.
- I swallow raw garlic (organic if available). I chop one section (clove) and put it in a teaspoon and swallow it with water. When away from home, I take two garlic capsules as a convenient alternative. I usually take it 3x a day, just like I would if I were taking medicine.
- I drink lots of pure water at room temperature with a little lemon juice or essential lemon oil in it.
- When I develop a sore throat, I often gargle a mixture of two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in an eight ounce glass of warm water. I alternate between gargling a mouthful and then spitting it out and swallowing a mouthful, until the glass is empty. I repeat this process every hour, and by the third or fourth time, my sore throat is usually gone. Another approach I use is to omit the apple cider vinegar and gargle instead a blend of eight ounces of warm water that has two drops of one of the the immune-boosting essential oil listed above, in #2. For throat and head pain, massage the weblike area between your thumb and index finger (LI4).
- To relieve throat and head pain, I deeply massage the weblike area between my thumb and index finger (LI4).
- I find that zinc lozenges, and extra doses of vitamin C are helpful.
- I avoid heavy, rich foods and anything with dairy. Alternatively, I will make chicken broth and add: a pinch of cayenne pepper, a pinch of turmeric, some fresh lemon or lime juice, and I often add chives and cilantro.
- I drink a hot tea concoction that includes: 1 tsp lemon juice, ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, a dash of cinnamon and some local honey.
- I get extra sleep.
- When I am dealing with upper respiratory issues, or any sinus pressure, I often sleep propped up at night with a pillow under my knees to help stay put.
- The minute I feel something coming on, I take a hot bath and add six drops of cinnamon oil into the bathwater, and soak for at least 15 minutes. Later, throughout the day, I dab a couple drops of cinnamon oil on my temples.
- I give myself a neurolymphatic massage, that I wrote about in my last blog.
I am not a doctor, nor do I claim to treat, heal or prescribe. These are remedies I have benefited from when sick. None stem from Touch for Health, except number 13.
