Using Neurovascular Holding Points To Release Negative Emotions & Create Space For Joyful Living

In the 1930’s, Terrence Bennett, DC gained insight into the effects of stress on the vascular system. When blood flow becomes congested as a result of stress, tissue doesn’t get the right amount of oxygen and nutrients. He found that prolonged emotional stress had an overloading effect on the vascular system. This overload manifests in tension, exhaustion, gastrointestinal disturbances, headaches, emotional upset, mental fog, and other health problems.

When doing research with a fluoroscope (an X-ray imaging instrument), Bennett made an amazing discovery. He found by lightly touching specific reflex points, the previously restricted vascular system was restored. He came up with a method for restoring vascular circulation by lightly holding these specific reflex points, named Neurovascular Holding Points (or ‘Bennett Reflexes’) located primarily located on the head.

When we are stressed, the amygdala in our brain triggers our glands to pump the hormone epinephrine, also known as adrenaline, throughout our bloodstream. We go into stress mode, we experience vasoconstriction to our brain, which makes it very difficult to process emotional stress. This simple technique can help restore vascular blood flow, allowing you to successfully process challenging emotions.

Performing this technique relaxes the body and nervous system, enhances focus and clarity, decreases aches and pains, and promotes feelings of hope and peace. I recommend… (download your free guide below to read more).
