Advanced ESR with Eye Rotations for Coping With Tax Season Stress
As a proud Minnesotan, I relish the opportunity to experience the four distinct and breathtaking seasons that grace our state. If there was one thing I could change, it would be to trim down the seemingly endless winter by a month or so.
But as the current season descends upon us, it’s not winter that causes my heart to sink, but rather the daunting tax season.
I must confess that I’ve succumbed to procrastination far too many times in the past… I’m using this technique as I plow through my piles of receipts.
You can use this for any mental challenge you’re facing…not just taxes!
Advanced Emotional Stress Release
I’m happy to say there’s an awesome technique we can use called Emotional Stress Release (ESR). This is a classic energy kinesiology technique used by energy kinesiologists all over the world. It’s helpful for dealing with stress and overcoming resistance. You can do the classic version of the technique that many of you have learned in the past or you may try this more advanced version. 👇
The advanced ESR version is done with a few additions that often result in deep and profound energy shifts.
Here’s how to perform the technique:
- Hold your thumbs to the pads of your ring fingers bilaterally.
- Then, lightly place the pads of your index and middle fingers on the highest forehead bumps (frontal eminences) between the eyebrows and the hairline. Technically they are a little closer to the hairline, not exactly in the middle.
- Rotate your eyes clockwise and counterclockwise during the procedure.
- Take time to ponder the situation you’re challenged with…
Why are you avoiding it? Imagine yourself doing the task. What is the worst thing that could happen? Could you handle it? What body sensations are you experiencing? Rate your current discomfort on a 1-10 scale.
Take a few slow, deep breaths activating your parasympathetic nervous system to the storm within.
Continue doing ESR while imagining other possible scenarios with a positive outcome. Imagining everything working out beautifully. What is the best thing that could happen if you follow through?
Continue with focused breathing, picturing light filling your body, chasing away the darkness that was weighing you down. Allow yourself to experience the peace that often occurs when we realize we have choices. It’s then that we find the motivation to move toward creative solutions and find release.
You may or may not feel relief instantly, however many do. 😄
Eliminating negative emotions such as fear, anxiety, discomfort, etc., clears away obstacles that would normally keep you stuck in certain negative patterns.
You can go back and repeat this process as many times as you like. You may use it in a variety of situations on yourself or others.
